Hawaiian Journeys
“Honua ano Hoaloha”
(Earth Friendly)
Aloha,
Over a thousand years ago, the Mongols, as they
conquered the Asian and European continents traveled
with their houses, these houses are known as Yurts,
round structures ingeniously designed to be portable yet
withstand all types of weather. Today the 21st Century
version of these Yurts, HIGH TECH structures that would
even amaze the Mongols, are our dwellings.
We at Hawaiian Journeys are proud to use these
structures as alternative vacation experiences. These
Yurts allow for more space and a vacation experience
you’ll want to share with others and remember for years
to come. Fully furnished with all the comforts of home
they include: queen size Serta Perfect Sleeper beds,
refrigerator, microwave, water cooler, T.V., Wi-Fi,
stereo, BBQ grills, fire pits, heaters, and beach
coolers, private bathrooms, and living and dining areas.
Because we are eco friendly we recycle (aluminum,
plastic, glass), even our gray water (shower and sink).
We also use Incinolet Toilets. These toilets incinerate
solid waste at 1200 degree leaving only ash and no
smell.
We’re set up for the more adventurous vacationer who
still likes comfort. So if its cabanas, bars, tourist
traps, shopping malls, well that’s not us. Not to
say they’re far away, just not next door. If you like
incredible views and clean cool air we’re here. We’re
located on the Big Island of Hawaii, half way between
Kailua Kona and Hilo in Ocean View at an elevation of
2500'. We have incredible views of South Point and 25
miles of Pristeen coastline with cool nights and
pleasant days. So if you want to see Hawaii with all it
has to offer then we’re what you’re looking for. Within
an hour and a half you can be in Hilo, Mountain View,
Volcano, Pahoa, Pahala, Punaluu Black, Sand Beach,
Manuka, Milolii, Hookena, City of Refuge, Kealakekua
Bay, Keaau, Holualoa, and Kailua-Kona, with Kailua and
Hilo the extremes everything else in between.
We’ve lived on the Island for many years and know all the
tourist and non-tourist spots, and a few secrets of our
own.
